  4. Thank you for choosing Amazing Animation, and welcome to the Amazing Animation CD.  
  5.  
  6. The Amazing Animation CD contains education specific materials which include ten classroom-related projects that children can do in the classroom or at home, as well as extra stamps and scenes. Each project integrates the use the computer and Amazing Animation with key curriculum content areas, such as languages arts, maths, social studies, etc.

  8. Specifically, this CD contains:

  10. Ñ    Amazing Animation application 1.0 v2, for Macintosh and Power Macintosh computers
  11. Children 5-14 years old use Amazing Animation to create multimedia movies, cartoon stories, and interactive home and school projects. Basic animation is as easy as choosing a background scene, stamping a character, moving the character along a pathway, adding an exciting sound, and pressing the play button to watch. As children seek new challenges, they can use the powerful painting tools, and special effects to create stamps and backgrounds reflecting their own interests.

  13. System Requirements:  
  14.                 -System 6.07 or later, or System 7
  15.                 -Minimum 4MB RAM is required (with 2MB allocated to Amazing Animation)
  16.                 -6MB RAM is recommended (with 4MB allocated to Amazing Animation)
  17.                 -8MB RAM required for Power Macintosh computers
  18.                 -Macintosh Classic II or later

  20. The application should be installed to your hard drive from the CD by double-clicking the "Installer" in the "Amazing Animation 1.0v2" folder.

  22. Ñ    The Amazing Animation User's Guide 
  23. The User's Guide is available in the "AA User's Guide" folder for on-screen reference or printing.  Instructions on how to use the User's Guide are provided.

  25. Ñ    Education Projects for ages 6 - 11  
  26. These include teacher instructions, student worksheets and sample files. We recommend printing the "001. An Introduction" document before beginning any of the projects themselves. The Project Workbook is provided in two formats: the FrameViewer 4.0 application for those not already using ClarisWorks ("Project Workbook Frame" folder), and ClarisWorks 2.1 ("Project Workbook CWorks" folder). Double-click any of the FrameViewer or ClarisWorks documents to open the individual projects.

The ClarisWorks files can be easily customized for individual classrooms. You can use, modify and copy the Amazing Animation Education Projects contained on this CD╨ROM solely for use with Amazing Animation, and solely for your internal use or use within your school.  Any other use of the Projects is prohibited, except as otherwise authorized by Claris in writing.

  31. This art includes extra Scenes and Stamps to be used with Amazing Animation. See instructions included in the "Animated Clip Art" folder.

Most of the trial software can be launched from the CD. You may copy the applications to your hard drive and launch from your drive. The following applications are available:  BrushStrokes, ClarisImpact (68K & Power Macintosh), ClarisWorks (68K & Power Macintosh), FileMaker Pro, MacProject Pro, MacWrite Pro (68K & Power Macintosh), Power to Go! (for PowerBook only), Retrieve It!

  37. This folder contains brief product descriptions and system requirements for all Claris products.  It also contains information on technical support services.
